Meet our Founder, Petan
It is a great way to celebrate my Sierra Leonean heritage and infuse the beauty of my culture into this signature dish.
My love of ratatouille began many, many years ago, what began as a simple staple in our family home, gradually became a firm favourite within our wider community as it drew in the crowds at church, school fetes and food fayres.
Cooking has always brought me joy - its truly a passion of mine, and I’m so pleased that I can now share it with you all! I always love preparing my ratatouille, firstly because it’s deliciously nutritious and secondly because of its versatility. It can be eaten on its own, accompanied by freshly baked bread or served with couscous - whatever your preference, there’s something for you. Now my ratatouille isn’t like the rest. Despite being French in origin, here at the Ratatouille Shack, our signature dish infuses flavours from Africa, Sierra Leone to be exact.
It is a great way to celebrate my Sierra Leonean heritage and infuse the beauty of my culture into this signature dish. If you’re looking for a dish with a difference, crafted from the finest ingredients, I’d love for you to try our dish, its truly made with love.
